"A Tourney for All Seasons" (TAS) is a permanent series of tournaments, played on FICS.
All scheduled 4 0, played each Wednesday on FICS at 13.15 server time, will be included in these series.
An overall standing of the tourneys, simply obtained summing up the points a player does in a tourney will be kept.
At the end of each season of the year, the first one of the overall standing will be declared "Season Champion".
After that, a new overall standing will be calculated, starting from scratch, to establish following champion.
After 4 seasons, a final closed tourney will be held, to declare "A Champion For All Seasons"At the same time, a permanent Rating List will be calculated, including each and every game played in TAS. You can find the rating list here
It is interesting to notice how in a certain sense, this rating list could be considered more "real" then normal FICS rating, since it's calculated only on tourney games, with casual pairings, as it is in OTB Chess.All the games will be scanned by ComputerAbuse. A player found guilty of playing computer assisted, will be prevented to play in TAS for 1 year (or for ever, if he's recidive).
